If you liked Hancock, (or Wanted, or Tranformers, or...) then you'll love...

[V MINOR HANCOCK SPOILERS AHEAD]

I just finished watching Hancock. Though I agree with many reviews that the comedy was a little one note, I do have to say it was kind of worth it as a lead up to the squirmish prison scene. All in all, I liked the movie, and then the internetz led me to an article recommending books after movies that you liked.

And now, the internetz may just lead you to it to:

Three Men and a Bride?

Somewhere around 10 years old, (Frack, do you remember when it was?) I was at my friend's for a birthday party/sleepover. After a few hours spent working through all the cake sugars dancing around to NKOTB's Happy Birthday song, we settled down to a movie. Specifically, Three Men and a Little Baby. My friend's older brother then totally freaked me the f%*# out by pausing on the creepy window scene and telling us the story of the kid who committed suicide, and then came back to haunt Ted Danson or something. Anyway, I still get a bit eeked when I think about it, but I do love me some Guttenberg. Let's just say, this news is a mixed bag.

The Life Of the World To Come

The Company series, written by the late Kage Baker, is one of the best I have ever read. It is packed to the brim with time travel, history, and cleverly paced story lines that develop its characters in surprising ways. Highly, highly recommended.

Hi, my name is cosmos. And I'm addicted to Jokes Shows.

Prairie Home Companion does an annual Jokes Show. The radio program spends almost two hours telling joke after joke of only the highest caliber:

“My friend got addicted to line dancing” “Oh no!” “Yea, it got so bad, he had to join a two-step program”

Here is a link. You are welcome.

SciFi Museum / Museum of Mysteries

I recently took a fantastic nine day jaunt to Seattle. Among my many excursions was the Seattle SciFiMuseum. I’ll help you picture how very awesome it is:

You saw right. Borg Picard.

On another day, I found my way to the Seattle Museum of Mysteries. I made my way down a long stairway, and was greeted by Big Foot himself. Inside, I found various displays on the unexplained, as well as a hallway of tragic deaths, including the passings of Bruce Lee and his son, Brandon. My favorite part was my tarot reading…

Nope, you don’t need to know.

Two definite spots to hit on the West coast. And if you make it out to the Museum of Mysteries, trek a bit further south on Broadway to the many resale shops, including Red Light (clothes) and the myriad of record stores.

Penance of Pretty People

Sorry I was out so long…please accept this, my humble atonement

Meet the Mrs

An entirely benign crush on Jillian Michaels (my mother may or may not know her as her “future daughter-in-law”) led me to working out on a regular basis (her workout DVDs are killer, by the by). I was just about to start wondering what in the world I would do in the two and a half weeks that Biggest Loser isn’t on…until I saw this:
